occasionally offer Time For Prints/CD for suitable models. These may be for my portfolio, advertising, experimentation, or stock photography work. Payment will be in the form of photo and model releases will be required – parents or guardians will also be required to sign for any model under 18 year old. Models who would like to shoot with me please read through the text below. It should answer most, if not all, questions you may have regarding working with Natural Art Media. What Is TFP/TFCD? TFP or Trade For Prints is an agreement when the model trades her time with a photographer for prints she can use in her portfolio. These days most TF* model shoots are actually delivered to the model in TFCD. In a TF* shoot the model and the photographer come to an agreement to exchange their time and services to each other in a trade. No money is exchanged for a TF* session. While the model provides his or her time and skill as a model the photographer provides his or her skill as a photographer and photo re-toucher. Together photographer and model collaborate to create a specified set of images. I…

The Pinnacles
1
There are many beautiful locations in the Pacific Northwest (as there are all over our planet). Specific locations become famous and receive a lot of visitors. Crater Lake is one of those places – vibrantly beautiful and a place one never forgets once they have seen it. One of the lesser known attractions at Crater Lake is The Pinnacles. It …

Mother Nature, or more specifically the Winema National Forest, is reclaiming the old east entrance to Crater Lake National Park. One afternoon we went to visit the Pinnacles and when we parked at the end of the road we noticed that it appeared that the road used to continue east out of the park but was now blocked by boulders …

It’s cold outside this morning and I was thinking about our camping trip to Crater Lake this last August. It had been nearly in the 100s the week before we were there, and it was in the 90s the week after we left. The five days that we were there it was very cold – temperatures down the the low …

In January, when it was cold and wet in the Northwest, we went to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico for eight warm and sunny days. You’ll be relieved to know that I did not take my IR camera on this trip. Besides, I found Cabo to be a very colorful city. I’ve tried to pick a few colorful photos out of …

Last August I published a short post on Oregon Garden in IR. [By the way, why isn’t it “Oregon Gardens” – I just checked their website – it’s “Oregon Garden”. They have, like, 20 gardens, so it’s not like its the only garden in Oregon. Just a thought.] Today I would like revisit that topic and some of the photos …

I spent Labor Day weekend in Tulsa, OK and had the opportunity to eat Sunday brunch at the Osage Restaurant. The food was excellent and I enjoyed the view of the Osage hills from our window-side table*. After brunch we spent a few hours in the Gilcrease museum viewing many paintings, art, statues, Native American artifacts, and much about American …
Read MoreLate Afternoon on Mars
Although it looks like how I imagine Mars appears, it is, of course, Crater Lake. As you can guess from my last post, these image is from my recently IR converted D200. After quickly processing the Crater Lake photos several different ways I’ve decided that I like the non-white balanced (red tinted) images in this series the best. Unlike the …

I visited the Oregon Garden last weekend and brought my IR camera along with my “regular” DSLR. Although packing around two cameras was a bit of a hassle, I’m glad that I did. Here are four example photos from several dozen IR images I took on Saturday. This image is of the Rain Curtain in the Sensory Garden. This is …

For a while now I’ve been fascinated with infrared photography. Now that I have a new studio camera I decided I would have my Nikon D200 converted to infrared. It arrived back just hours before I was to take a short trip that put me at Crater Lake, Oregon for a day. I was able to spend some time taking …
