Handle Me Roughly

Nikon D3x, Nikkor 24-70mm f/2.8, 62mm, f/3.5 ISO 100, 2 exposures

I found this side-entrance door to one of the abandoned warehouses while wandering around the ‘dodgy’ area in Rochester, NY. I was completely fascinated with the buildings because I’d never seen anything like them before and really wanted to see the inside of some. At the same time, I had a bit of adrenalin going because of the location, so I didn’t even seriously consider trying to get in.

This is two exposures, shot hand-held and now that I’m back home, all safe and sound, editing these, I wish I would have hauled out my tripod and spent more time.  However, at the moment, it felt like a “grab it and move on” situation. Maybe I just needed to be shooting with someone else instead of alone…

Makes me wonder what in the world happened to that doorknob! Was someone trying to break in or to escape?

I’d guess that someone was trying to break in. Don’t know why, it didn’t look like a very inviting space.
