occasionally offer Time For Prints/CD for suitable models. These may be for my portfolio, advertising, experimentation, or stock photography work. Payment will be in the form of photo and model releases will be required – parents or guardians will also be required to sign for any model under 18 year old. Models who would like to shoot with me please read through the text below. It should answer most, if not all, questions you may have regarding working with Natural Art Media. What Is TFP/TFCD? TFP or Trade For Prints is an agreement when the model trades her time with a photographer for prints she can use in her portfolio. These days most TF* model shoots are actually delivered to the model in TFCD. In a TF* shoot the model and the photographer come to an agreement to exchange their time and services to each other in a trade. No money is exchanged for a TF* session. While the model provides his or her time and skill as a model the photographer provides his or her skill as a photographer and photo re-toucher. Together photographer and model collaborate to create a specified set of images. I…

I saw the roots of this tree and really had to make a photograph. I thought that in color it would have been rather boring, so I decided to get my IR camera for this shot. I wanted to get low enough to emphasize the roots and the way the tree is clawing at the ground to stay in place. …

This is the low end of what was once a conveyer system at a hop kiln in the Russian River Valley of Sonoma County, California. The hop kiln, its buildings, grounds, and old equipment are now part of the Hop Kiln Winery. I was there one very bright, sunny day at just about 1:00pm – I might have preferred to …

I’m going to wrap up Mazatlan photos with this image of the sunset from the top of the Posada Freeman Express in old-town Mazatlan. The Freeman is a great place to grab some food or a drink and catch the sunset from the roof-top. I’d like to say that I thought about this and planned it, ensuring the couple was …

I wanted to get this shot because of the way the light was falling on the door, but mostly because of the take-out box on the steps. At first glance I almost passed this opportunity over because of the ‘trash’ on the steps and I thought it would ruin the picture. After looking at it for a minute I decided …

One of the very few times I found this area empty. It usually has plenty of people sitting at the tables, drinking and playing games. I just got up early enough to get this shot while everyone else was still asleep. I’ve been testing out different HDR software and processes this with Unified Color’s HDR Express and used OnOne’s …

I was on a business trip last week and didn’t have anything prepared to post while I was gone. It was the first sunny weekend in, forever maybe and I worked outside instead of shooting or processing photos. Hopefully I’ll get back on track again. I wanted to post this today because it’s the 14th – wow, it’s been 2 …

I was wandering around a winery in Sonoma Co. taking pictures and came across this. I thought it might look cool in infrared, so I traipsed back to the car and retrieved my D200 for this shot. Despite the fact that it looks like a plant (possibly a weed), I’m pretty sure it’s a stick with a gathering of small-winged …
