I’ve Seen Onions From Both Sides Now

Nikon D3x, Nikkor 24-70mm f/2.8, 70mm, f/2.8, ISO 400, 1/250 sec

here’s the other side of the onions.  I did spend some time dodging and burning this photo and selectively adding contrast and vibrance.  The depth-of-field on this photo is so narrow I didn’t need to do much focus processing on it at all.  Because of the angle and shooting at f2.8 there is barely anything in focus at all. Interesting that there is so much out of focus in this image and yet I like it.  It goes to show that what is out of focus in an image is as important as what is in focus.  When I look at this, I actually see only one onion completely in focus and my eyes jump there first before I can look around to take in the rest of the photo.  I wonder if you notice the same onion or not – let me know.
