Roundhouse
Those of you who know me well, know that trains are one of my passions (along with photography, ruby, and my wife). I haven’t worked on my model railroad in almost three years – too many other things to do. I’m going to start the year by posting a few photos of the roundhouse in the Train Town Railroad. I don’t know if I will make the time to ‘play trains’ in 2011 or not. I do intend to take more photographs then I did in 2010, and actually do something with them. So look for more posts this year.
Here are three shots of the roundhouse on the railroad. All of these were shot with my Nikon D200 infrared camera. I did not have a tripod with me so they were shot hand held and there is only one exposure for each image. I did process them in Nik Software HDR Efex Pro and Silver Efex Pro just to see what I could do. I’m sure they are way overdone for being single exposures, but it was a fun learning experience. Next time I’m in Sonoma I’m going to bring a tripod (TSA willing) and get some bracketed exposures. Infrared makes such interesting black and whites.

Enjoy twenty-eleven!
I notice I’m third in the list of your passions. It’s good to know where I stand ;-) Love you!
I hate to point out that in this list you were fourth. Okay – schedule a photo-shoot with me and you will be first on the list when I write a post about boudoir photography – you can be the center of attention :-)
John,
I laid down my camera years ago. Your work is like food for the soul.
